SilaMin Interior Mineral Paint
a.k.a. Silicate Dispersion
Paint (meets
German Standard DIN 18 363)
SilaMin is
a white interior wall paint, designed to be used on
its own or as a tintable base for off-whites, pastels up
to 30 % #1030 SilColor pigment paint added.
For stronger colour shades use #1035 SilColor alone
or with some white added.
SilaMin has good hiding capabilities. Adjacent areas
of glass and metal should be protected from splatters to avoid corrosion
damage. Unavoidable splatters must be removed immediately with water.
SilaMin is fully breathable, non-flamable and anti-microbial
without fungicides.

INGREDIENTS:

solution, polysaccharide, cellulose, sodium-phosphonate, fatty
acid defoamer.

PRIMING & CONDITIONING
:
----------------------------------------------
New drywall must be conditioned
with one generous coat of #1050 PrimaSil Conditioner-Fixative-
Thinner. Lime & sand plaster with loose particles can
be stabilized with one coat of # 1050 PrimaSil or with
a primer made from #1000 SilaMin, # 1050 PrimaSil and water
at a ratio of 1:1:1. Highly absorbent surfaces and surfaces
with much colour variance in the surface can be primed
with the above mentioned 1 : 1 : 1 mix. |
DRY
TIME:
----------------------------------------------
4 - 6 hrs. first coat
12 hrs. for additional coats
curing time 20 - 30 days ++ |
DISPOSAL:
----------------------------------------------
Let left-over product dry out until the paint is completely
hardened, then discard with regular household garbage. |
SHELF-LIFE:
----------------------------------------------
2 - 3 years, if stored between + 5° and + 30° C
( 41° - 85° F ).
Reseal opened container air-tight. |
THINNING & CLEAN
UP:
----------------------------------------------
Product is normally ready to use, but can thicken over time,
if stored too warm.
For thinning use # 1050
PrimaSil Conditioner - Fixative -Thinner
For clean-up use soap and water. |
COVERAGE:

approx. 8 - 9 mē / ltr or
approx. 300 - 340 sqft / gallon |
CAUTION:

Keep out of reach of children.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Wear protective goggles, when working overhead. Product is
slightly alkaline. |
